

![]() Nicole Wilde is a Certified Pet Dog Trainer, a professional member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT) and a popular speaker at their national conferences. She holds a B.A. degree in Psychology. Nicole is the author of two books about wolfdogs and five instructional books for dog trainers,(from Phantom Publishing) including "So You Want to be a Dog Trainer." Her books are required reading for many train-the-trainer programs both domestically and internationally. Nicole has co-hosted a dog-related radio show, writes columns and articles for various magazines and newspapers, and co-stars in the popular DVD, "Train Your Dog: The Positive, Gentle Method." She sits on the Advisory Board of Cynology College, a cutting-edge, online canine behavior college. Nicole has worked with all types of canines, both domestic and exotic (specializing in wolves and wolfdogs) as a trainer (and rescuer) for many years. Before establishing her full-time training business, Nicole's canine-related jobs included working for a veterinarian, overseeing 40 off-leash dogs daily at a doggie-daycare center, acting as Editor/Chief Writer for a pet-related magazine, and teaching group obedience classes. Nicole has worked with the Los Angeles city shelters as Volunteer Coordinator, training and socializing dogs and training volunteers in canine body language and behavior. Her efforts have resulted in hundreds of dogs finding loving homes. She served as Executive Director for many years for a rescue center for wolves/wolfdogs and pit bulls, and has given workshops and educational seminars for animal control officers, school children and others. Although Nicole teaches training seminars for other trainers, she also regularly attends seminars and workshops to keep up with the best and latest training techniques and modalities. She has participated in seminars on everything from intense aggression issues to clicker training chickens! Nicole's compulsion to stay informed about the latest developments in canine training, behavior, products, health and alternative therapies contribute to her excellence as a trainer and her ability to help others solve their dog's issues. |
