Narnia runs workshops and seminars at various times during the year. Workshops are often scheduled based on demand and instructor availability. Continuing education seminars targeted towards dog trainers, and other animal care providers are typically held twice a year in the spring and fall. Workshops - ShapingDid you ever wonder how Sea World gets the dolphins to jump on command? Or how the dogs in the commercial can open a fridge and get the owner a drink? This workshop will introduce you and your dog to what many people believe is the ultimate approach to training: shaping. In this 1 ½ workshop, you learn the how shaping works and begin to teach your dog the science of operant conditioning. Various objects and tricks will be introduced to the dog. You must use a clicker for this class, and be willing to bring your dog’s bed or mat. |
