(Added September 24)
Angela had a mastectomy of the left breast Wednesday, September 24. She is doing well, still in the hospital (9/25/08) and should return home tomorrow. She seems to be in good spirits and enjoyed a walk, french fries and watching the soaps today.
Thank you all who have been thinking about her and we will be updating this page with her progress.
(Updated October 2)
Angela was admitted to the hospital October 1. She is having quite a roller coaster of a recovery. After she was released from the hospital after her surgery she was having quite a hard time with pain management. It seemed that every type of oral pain medication she was given made her sick. Her doctors then put her on a pain patch. The patch made her dizzy and unable to function. On October 1 Angela met with her oncologist. He took one look at her and admitted her to the hospital. She spent Wednesday night in the hospital and may stay until Friday.
The good news is, she is doing much better. Angela was up for a visit and had a craving for Olive Garden bread sticks, so Joy and I brought her lunch. She did not seem to be in pain and the vomiting and dizziness had subsided.
Thank you all for your well wishes. Angela misses all of you.

(Updated November 20)
Angela has had her second round of chemo. She will be sick for about a week after each treatment and has 4 more treatments to go. Each chemo round is about 3 weeks apart for a total of 6 treatments.
After she is done with chemotherapy Angela will be starting radiation. The start date is yet to be determined. We will post an update when she is done with her chemo.
Angela lost her hair about 2 1/2 weeks after her first chemotherapy treatment. It doesn't seem to bother her. She has some fun wigs and looks rather cute bald.
Thank you all for your well wishes. Angela misses all of you.
(Be sure to ask your instructor about the second raffle.)

(Added March 2)
Angela has finished her chemotherepy and starts radiation treatment tomorrow. She will go through about 7 weeks of radiation going 5 days a week. Angela is in good spirits and thanks all of you for thinking of her. In December Angela's father, Pete, had a tumor removed from his brain. There is a benefit March 15, 2009 at Charlies Tavern (in Oswego) to raise money to help both Angela and her father.
